Additional moments from the Italy P.D.’s 2nd Annual Guns vs. Hoses Softball Game

Italy — A homerun derby, a fun softball game, snow cones, a bounce house, a water slide, amazing fireworks, a helicopter, fire trucks, police cars, vendor booths, snow cones…Whoops, I said that already, where the many activities associated with the 2nd Annual Guns vs. Hoses event to help raise money for Shop With a Cop sponsored by the Italy Police Department.

Representatives of the Italy Fire Department tried to keep the game close but the Italy P.D. pulled away in the final innings to win 23-12 for their second victory in a row. Overall, the event raised over $2,500 dollars to go toward deserving Stafford Elementary students and their families.

Both departments appreciate everyone in the community for helping to make the event a success and for supporting the Shop With a Cop program.

The 2013 2nd Annual Guns. vs. Hoses Softball Game between Italy’s Police and Fire Departments earned over $2,500 dollars for Shop With a Cop. We really appreciate this year’s players for being there for the kids!
