The 2013 Athletic Banquet continues with more and more awards being presented

Italy Coliseum — What a year and what a night as Italy High School’s student-athletes were honored during the 2013 Italy Athletic Banquet. For the seniors, it was the icing on the cake with just one word squeezed out in gold frosting, “Winners,” with a whole bunch of these, “!!!!!!!!!,” after it.
How do you define the legacy class? Well, for the graduating Gladiators and Lady Gladiators of 2012-2013, I will remember them as a group that played hard from start to finish, cared about one another, were mentors of the underclassman and wanted to be successful both in practice, on the fields and courts of battle and in the classrooms.
What can you say to a group that has valiantly carried the torch, kept us on the map, sacrificed for the cause and inspired so many of our youngsters except, “Thanks. Thank you for representing the old gold and white with honor in both victory and, well, the opposite of victory.” Whenever you catch a horizon with the half sun resembling the Coliseum or when flashes of lightning spark memories of Italy Neotribune cameras following your class like paparazzi, rest assured that your memories will be fond when thinking back to your glory days.
