First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie is putting on a show. Not just any show, a show with music and dessert.

The music will be broadway songs such as: “Comedy Tonight,” “Oh What A Beautiful Morning,” “Old Man River,” “’Til There Was You,” and many more. As you enjoy the music you may also enjoy wonderfully delicious desserts. This fun show will begin at 7 p.m. and end around 8 p.m. on October 16.

There will also be a silent auction. One of the baskets that will be auctioned off will be a “dinner and a movie”. This includes a dinner at Olive Garden gift card, popcorn, candy, a couple dvd movies and lots more.

This program is a fundraiser for the First United Methodist Church choir to go to Spain. Choir director, Ed Gibson said, “Anyone can go, you don’t have to be a choir member. If you have the money you can go.”

He went on to say, “We are going to Spain to spread the word of Christ through music and song.”

The tickets for adults are $12 each, for children twelve-and-under they are $5 each. You can pick up your tickets at the church from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or you may purchase them at the door.
