Darrin and Amanda Lusk have a beautiful little boy, Donovan. Donovan has been fighting against Batten disease for well over a year now. He has been quite the courageous little champion.

Just imagine if this was your son. He can’t walk, he has to be fed by a feeding tube and he can’t talk. You would want to help him in any way you could. Donovan has totally lost his ability to stand up or even swallow a drink of water. He has been in and out of the hospital over the last year and a half. He has undergone numerous tests, is taking several different medications, and is totally dependent on someone to care for him 24 hours a day.

Donovan’s food supplements that go directly into his feeding tube cost approximately $300 a month. That is just the tip of the iceberg. This doesn’t include the cost of his wheel chairs and all the extra things needed just for normal day to day functions.

Donovan has been denied all government assistance. “This disease is so rare that there are very few people that can relate to what is transgressing with Donovan and they can’t even begin to know what it is like for his parents,” explained Robbie Addington-Jones, Donovan’s Aunt.

Saturday, October 25 at 6 p.m. a silent auction and dinner will be held to benefit Donovan and his family. This dinner will be held at the Wayne Boze Chapel in Italy.

Please come and have a wonderful meal, buy something at the silent auction and help Donovan and his family at the same time.
