Michelle was devoted to her faith, family and friends. She loved being outdoors. Give her a fishing pole and she was as happy as she could be. She always had a smile to share with anyone who needed one. Michelle loved to be surrounded by family and friends.

Michelle is survived by her husband of 14 years, David Hodges of Mesquite; father, Mike Medlin of Venus; and mother, Ruth Ann Medlin of Garland. She had two other mothers: Theresa Medlin of Italy and Anne Medlin of Venus. Grandmother Betty Gary of Waxahachie; grandparents Jim and Frankie McGaha of Waxahachie; mother-in-law Janice Wilkins of Quinlan; brother Michael Medlin of Waxahachie; sister and brother-in-law Melissa and Mark Souder Jr. of Italy; sister and brother-in-law Misty and Jason Escamilla of Forreston; brother and sister-in-law Dewayne and Ashley Sims of Woodville, Alabama; sister and brother-in-law Stephanie and Cecil McElwarth of Alvarado; brothers, Russell Grimes of Venus and Bill Grimes of Cleburne; sister-in-law Sandi Feagin. Best friend of 20 years, Lisa Parker of Dallas. Nephews: Jake, John and Gary Escamilla of Forreston; and Matthew Smith of Quinlan. Nieces: Taylor and Mayson Souder of Italy; and Amanda Smith of Quilan. God Children: Dystanie, Macy, Connor and Kindiell. Her four legged children: Butterbean, Moses, Samatha, Chloe, and Herman. Also extended family and friends, and her Family of Faith at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Mesquite.

Michelle was preceded in death by grandparents Young Keys and Louise Medlin; grandfather Claude Gary; uncles Mark and Byron Medlin; and niece Lovie Frances Feagan.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Italy Cemetery.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mesquite.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
