Todd Gray called to Central Baptist Church of Italy
Sunday, October 26, 2008, was exciting for Central Baptist Church of Italy, as the Church called Todd Gray to be its new pastor. Todd and his wife, Tammy, are coming to CBC from San Antonio, where for the last two years he was the pastor of Larkspur Christian Fellowship and also taught senior adult Sunday School for Churchill Baptist.
Born in San Angelo, Texas, Todd first felt the calling into the ministry while attending military field training his sophomore year at Angelo State University, where he played football, commanded the Air Force ROTC detachment, and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. Having already committed to the military, Todd served as a security forces officer in the Air Force for four years where he received numerous awards for excellent leadership. He also was one of two officers in the nation who got the opportunity to teach and train other security forces officers. Todd graduated at the top from every school he attended in the military. During his time in the Air Force, Todd took every opportunity to minister to young airmen and served in ministry positions in every church he attended.
Todd is currently enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is finishing up a Masters of Divinity degree. Todd has been on mission trips in the U.S., Mexico, England, and Africa, and will soon be going to China. Todd and his wife have two children, Isaac and Autumn.
