The City of Milford has come up with a new way to help folks at Christmas time. They are going to provide dinners for five families.

The First Baptist Church of Milford, Mount Moriah Baptist Church and No Fences Cowboy church of Milford are going to submit names of families that could use a little help with Christmas dinner this year.

If you would like to help with these five families with Christmas dinner and would like to make a food contribution, the drop off designations are: Milford Cash Grocery, Milford Police department, Milford City Hall and Perryman’s house in Milford.

For more information please call: 972-493-3161 and ask to speak to Sandra Smith or Chief Carlos Phoenix.

Donations for non perishable items are recommended to be given first and non perishable items are recommended to be given closer to Christmas.

“This is the first year we thought about doing this. The economy is bad and we know there are some folks out there that could use a little help. We are wanting to help them as much as we can. We are going to get the community to come together once again and try to help at least five families out.” said police Chief Phoenix.

Once again the city of Milford is striving to make Milford a better place and help those in need.
