Milford ISD put on a wonderful tribute honoring the veterans with their Veterans Day program. The program took place in the gymnasium at Milford ISD, on Tuesday afternoon – Veterans Day.

The school band was in rare from as they performed, “This is America”, while the 2nd, 3rd, 4th,and 5th grade music class sang the song.

Milford police officers performed the “Posting of the Colors” and the Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.

Milford 7th and 8th grade band performed, “The Star Spangled Banner”.

The President’s Veterans Day Proclamation was recited by Marilee Byrne (Milford ISD principal).

“There are Many Flags” was sung by the first grade music class and Kindergarten and Pre-K classes.

Veterans and individuals with family members present who served in our nation’s military were invited to stand during the song for their branch of service while the band played their song.

Heather Bledsue played an awesome rendition of “Taps”.

The program ended with the “Retiring of the Colors”, while the high school and 7th grade band performed “America”.

A wonderful tribute was paid to our veterans, on Veterans Day at Milford ISD.
