First Baptist Church of Avalon is putting on their annual Christmas play on the 14th of December at 6:00 PM.

The play this year is “Coming Home”.

The play takes place in a small local town. “Coming Home” is a humorous take on the perils of getting ready for Christmas. One scene takes place in a beauty shop – everyone has to be beautiful for the big Christmas event – over worked beauticians are trying hard to take care of everyone and of course, become very stressed. Hilarious antics take place in this beauty shop.

The theme behind the play is, what the real reason for Christmas is, not the hustle and bustle of shopping and gifts.

Cleve Clark (Pastor) said, “Come on out and enjoy the humor in this fun play, but when you leave you will definitely know that Jesus Christ is the reason for Christmas."
