Santa arrives in Milford by way of fire engine
It has always been told that Santa Claus rides into town on a sleigh. Well, I am here to tell you that is not his only mode of transportation. I have pictures to prove it!
Last Thursday evening at about 7:30 PM sirens were going off in Milford as a fire engine came roaring down the highway with Santa Claus waving as he came.
Children must have had the “heads up” because they were all lined up along the road cheering for Santa Claus and wanting to have their picture taken with him.
Come to find out, I must have been the only one in the dark, because, I found out that Santa has been visiting Milford by way of fire engine for about four years. Doris January is instrumental in helping to organize Santa’s visit. “I moved from Dallas to Milford to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. But I have always belonged to clubs that dealt with children. So I decided we were going to have Santa come into town on a fire engine and the kids just love it, they go wild. This is my fourth year to help in this adventure,” explained Doris.
Carlos Phoenix (Milford police chief) said, “ We had a bigger turn out this year than last year. Everything is going great and the kids are having a great time with Santa.”
Can’t wait for next year to see Santa arrive on a fire engine!
