Boyd Ray Hyles was born on October 11, 1930 in Italy Texas to Jim and Leona Hyles. He passed away on December 24, 2008 in Midlothian Texas. He had six brothers and one sister. On January 12, 1952 he married Shirley Ann Airheart in Italy and lived there until 1968 when they moved to Midlothian.

He worked in the lumber business for the last 38 years. He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Shirley Hyles, son, Brian Hyles and wife, Lynn, three grandchildren, Brandon, Logan and Lauren all of Midlothian, one brother Otis Hyles of Hillsborough and many cousins, nieces and nephews mostly from the Italy area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Leon Hyles, daughter, Sherry, brothers, Charlie, Hinky, Blue, Joe and Shorty and sister, Flo.

Boyd was a veteran that served in the U.S. Army in the Korean conflict from 1952 to 1954. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Midlothian He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Midlothian Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Midlothian Funeral Home.
