The word diamond comes from the Greek word Adamas which means unconquerable and enduring. Some believe that the fire in the diamond symbolizes the constant flame of love. This sure held true for Charles and Dorothy Adams.

Charles and Dorothy were married on January 8th, 1949 in the home of Baptist Pastor Rice in Waxahachie, Texas. They have been married for sixty years- the “Diamond Anniversary”.

After Charles and Dorothy Adams married they moved to Italy, Texas and never left. Dorothy owned her own beauty shop in down town Italy, “Dorothy’s Beauty Salon”, for about thirty years.

They have two children, Angela Muirhead and Charles Adams, four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

According to Dorothy the secret to a successful marriage is, “Go to church and raise your family in church. Put God first and everything else will fall in place.”

Come and celebrate with Charles and Dorothy on Sunday, January 11th from two to four o’clock at the First Baptist Church at 200 Clark Street Italy, Texas.

Congratulations!!!!
