Chick-fil-A and Meals-on-Wheels team up to Provide Meals
Chick-fil-A of Burleson teamed up with Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson & Ellis Counties on January 6 to help those in need. This is the second year Burleson Chick-fil-A has partnered with Meals-on-Wheels to put a hot meal from Chick-fil-A in the hands of every needy person. This year, they were able to provide 600 meals for both counties with the help of local patrons.
“The Burleson community has always shown its big heart when it comes to meeting the needs its residents and surrounding neighbors,” said Greg Ryan, store owner; “And, I think this is a great collective effort to provide to those that are needy. We are happy to be a part,” Mr. Ryan said.
Donations were made on site at Chick-fil-A, and all costs beyond the monies collected were covered by Chick-fil-A and Meals-on-Wheels. Mr. Ryan, added, “This is a great opportunity for our community to be involved, and we feel that we fulfill a very basic need in the process.”
“We are always very excited about this project with Chick-fil-A!” said Amy Jackson, Meals-on-Wheels director of development. “Our clients are always delighted to receive a special treat,” she added.
