Italy student’s fire patch design chosen to represent M.F.D.
Italy Junior High student Cheyenne Frank (8th Grade) recently entered an open contest, sponsored by the Milford Fire Department, to design a custom patch specifically for the M.F.D..
Any student that resided within Milford’s City Limits could enter and the M.F.D. was offering a $50.00 cash prize for the winning patch design. Cheyenne spent about three days on the design before submitting it into the contest.
Cheyenne’s patch design had a certain Texas charm about it that captivated Milford’s Mayor John Knight, who judged the contest, making her patch design the obvious choice.
The $50.00 received by Cheyenne from the Milford Fire Department was actually $20.00 more than the artist who created the first Nike logo received. “Nice job, Cheyenne.”
