Waxahachie Lighthouse for Learning begins Spring semester

The Waxahachie Lighthouse for Learning is looking for students of 18 years and older to participate in the continuing education courses beginning February 23, 2009.

This is cooperative effort between Waxahachie ISD, the Texas A&M Extension Agency, Master Gardeners and other individuals, organizations and businesses to teach an variety of classes.

You could learn how to speak Spanish, use a computer, digital photography, dance, weld, cook, play guitar or grow a vegetable garden. They even offer online courses that includes creating web pages, medical terminology, grantwriting, speed Spanish, effective business writing, keyboarding, everyday math, real estate investing and much more.

Classes will vary in length and require registration and a fee. Unless given other instructions, all classes will be held on the campus of Waxahachie High School at 1000 N. Hwy 77.

Registrations are accepted on regular business days from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
