Italy basketball Head Coach Kyle Holley, announces that five Italy Gladiators were selected as 15A All-District performers in 2009. Congratulations to these student athletes for, not only their individual accomplishments, but what the team as a whole achieved as well.

The Gladiators were Regional Finalists and Regional Semifinal Champions in the Region II, Division 1 Playoffs after finishing 3rd in District. During their playoff run, Italy knocked out 3 District Champions, including their arch nemesis, Itasca 78-71.

Recognized for their efforts on the hardwood this season are:

11-Jasenio Anderson – Defensive Player of the Year
10 – John Isaac – 1st team All-District
2 – Heath Clemons – 2nd team-All District
5 – Dontavius Clemons – Honorable Mention
33 – Darrin Moore – Honorable Mention

Once again, congratulations to these five Gladiators on being named to the All-District team for 2009.
