Marie Joan Threet, who has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, March 12, 2009. She was born to Chalmers Jerome Varner and Cynthia Drucilla Trigg Varner on February 4, 1916 at Lone Cedar. She married Ernest Price Threet (Jack) on December 20, 1941.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by three sisters, Mary Ella Bell of Italy, Audrey Lucille Varner and Romie Drucilla Glenn both of Waxahachie. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mae Wardlaw and Fay Murray both of Corsicana and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie helped work the Threet family farm with her husband Jack and later worked at Ennis Business Forms from which she retired.
