Round and round they went, one Italy track star after another exciting the Italy fans at the District meet in Hubbard. One thing that makes track so special is the home stretch. When the runners pass in front of the grandstand the cheering can be almost deafening.

However, one thing that could be heard loud and clear were the voices of the coaches encouraging the kids every lap of the way. Coach Stacy McDonald, Coach Steven Coleman, Coach Kyle Holley, Coach Craig Bales and Coach Robert Sollers (who provided stats and photos) were all on hand to help coordinate the event and support our young athletes.

There was a definite chill in the air which proved challenging for runners trying to stay warm between their events, but overall, the teams seem to be enjoying the competition.

The 7th grade girls finished in 4th place and the 7th grade boys finished in 3rd despite fielding only about 8 competitors. The 8th grade girls finished in 7th place while the 8th grade boys finished in 3rd place.
