Betty M. Cole, age 78, of Italy, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 21, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie. She was born July 31, 1930 in Mertens to Isom and Addie Lou (Coggins) Cagle. Betty was a member of the Italy Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, J, R. “Bob” Cole of Italy; two daughters, Linda Polk and Teresa Mason both of Italy; one son, Jimmie Cole and his wife, Cathy of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Mason, Sr. of Itasca, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan K. Mason of Italy, Danae E.Polk of Federal Way, WA, Jimmie Cole, Jr. of Maypearl and Heather Cole of Italy; 10 great grandchildren; four sisters, Gladys Ross, Clara Dodd and her husband, Bill, Ann Murphy and her husband Frank all of Ft. Worth and Louise Kelley of Italy; one brother, Isom Cagle and his wife, Joyce of Ft. Worth; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Pastor Todd Gray officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, April 22 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.
