Obituary: William Nelton “Bill” Youngblood, 1947 – 2009

William Nelton Youngblood, age 62, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2009 in Whitney, Texas. The cause of death was accidental drowning. He was born February 21, 1947 to William Henry Youngblood and Martha Cleo (Rogers) Youngblood in Lubbock, Texas. Bill married Mary M. Boyd on July 16, 2007 in Italy, Texas. He served in the Vietnam War and was self employed. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Italy.

Bill is survived by his wife Mary Youngblood of Italy; his sons, William Dale Youngblood and James Wesley Youngblood both of Italy; a daughter, Sherry Youngblood of Waxahachie; two grandchildren; a sister, Norma Vollintine and her husband James of Bellmead, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia Youngblood and a brother, James Youngblood.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Italy. Interment will be at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Italy.
