Garbage Details: The City of Italy has arranged with DCI Sanitation, LLC to provide small Recycle bins and large Garbage cans along with continuing DCI’s regular trash removal service.

DCI Sanitation, LLC will finish distributing large Garbage cans door-to-door this week, to each residence in the City of Italy. Each residence will have to pick-up their own Free small Recycle bin from City Hall in downtown Italy.

The large Garbage cans will be for trash items not to be recycled. The small Recycle bins will be for recyclable items only such as paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum and metal cans as well as glass bottles.

The one large garbage can and one small Recycle bin are included at NO EXTRA COST. Your current weekly Garbage Service Fee covers these items, along with the removal of your non-recyclable trash and recyclable items.

If you wish to contact City Hall and request an additional large Garbage Can, your Garbage Service Fee would increase $4.00 each month and so on. Additional small Recycle bins should also be arranged through City Hall at no extra charge.

Each large Garbage can and Recycle bin has it’s own serial number to help everyone keep track of their own items as well as aiding City Hall in coordinating trash removal locations with DCI.

The large Garbage cans will be emptied on Tuesdays. Have them ready at 7:00 a.m.

The smaller Recycle bins will be emptied on Thursdays. Have them ready at 7:00 a.m. as well.

Please Note: DCI will also empty the bag or bags from an extra 30 gallon trash can that has been provided by the resident. Any bagged trash loose on the ground will not be removed. More large Garbage cans can be supplied, but after the first free can already provided, each additional can would add $4.00, for each can, to your monthly bill.

Again, the first can is free. $4.00 per can will be added to your monthly Garbage Service Fee if you request a second and third large Garbage can and so on.
