On Friday, the fifth day of June the Jeter family (of Hillsboro) was pulled apart and broken. Kiersten and Kelsey Jeter were attacked by their mother in an abandoned house located on Highway 77 and Highway 35 in Hillsboro.

The result of the attack ended in the death of Kelsey Jeter, twelve years old. Kiersten Jeter thirteen years old, ended up in the hospital and has been in intensive care ever since but is expected to make a full recovery. A close family memeber said, “Kiersten is very strong. She is comforting everyone and telling them that we will be OK.”

Lee Jeter, the girl’s father has hardly left his daughter’s side in the hospital, but he needs our help. There is a fund that has been set up to help pay funeral and medical expenses. If you would like to contribute, the website is: http://jeterfamily.webs.com.

Funeral arrangements are still pending the release of Kiersten from the hospital.
