Tina & Allen Richards, with a little help from their family, will be selling fireworks for their 6th consecutive year. From giant jumbo assortment packs for the serious fireworks enthusiast to smaller kid assortment packs for the youngsters, the Richards’ firework stand is the place to go this 4th of July!

In fact, the Richards’ firework stand has developed quite a loyal fan base out of town as well as locally. Customers drive in from as far off as Grand Prairie and Dallas. Tina said, “They drive past the other stands along 35E because they know they can get reliable products at the best prices in Italy.”

Allen added, “We use the profit to travel with our two oldest girls, Megan and Alyssa, to their national softball road trips. The tournaments usually last a whole week. Last year they played in Alabama and this year they’ll play in Georgia.”

The Richards’ fireworks stand is located on John Davis Drive facing Hwy. 35, behind the Italy Dairy Queen.

During the holiday, the stand opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes each night a little before 11:00 p.m. On July 4th, the stand will be open until midnight and then that’s when the law requires them to stop selling.

The Richards’ firework stand will also be operating during New Years to help everyone ring in 2010 with a bang!

Tina & Allen wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.

Italyneotribune.com would like everyone to know there is currently NOT a burn ban in Ellis County, however, there is a city ordinance against popping fireworks within the Italy City Limits which is a $200.00 fine.
