J. R. “Bob” Cole, age 82, of Italy, passed away Friday morning, August 7, 2009 at his home in Italy.  He was born July 12, 1927.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Polk and Teresa Mason both of Italy; one son, Jimmie Cole and his wife, Cathy of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Mason, Sr. of Itasca, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan K. Mason of Italy, Danae E. Polk of Federal Way, WA, Jimmie Cole, Jr. of Maypearl and Heather Cole of Italy; 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Cole on April 21, 2009.  

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Central Baptist Church in Italy with Pastor Todd Gray officiating.  Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.
