The Italy 7th and 8th grade girls lead the march in the first Junior High Volleyball games of the season this week. The Lady Bulldogs traveled from Milford to play the Lady Gladiators. The 7th grade won the first sets in the best two games, winning 25-15 and 25-16. Coach Tina Richards said, “I am very proud of the 7th grade. This is a great way to start our season-with a win!”

The 8th grade girls followed suit with the best two out of three games. The scores were first game Italy won 25-21, second game Milford won 25-14 and third game Italy won 15-12. Coach Andi Windham said, “I was very pleased to see that the girls have begun to grasp some of the basic ideas of the game. They looked really good.”

Both coaches are excited about the upcoming season and the players attitudes and abilities. “Coach Richards and I are very proud of them,” Windham explained.
