The JV and Varsity Lady Gladiators hosted the Frost Lady Bears on Saturday. The volleyball teams worked hard to keep the scores climbing with some success. The Varsity took two of the five sets from Frost, however, it just wasn’t enough to put a mark in the win column. The JV played well but lost both games to Frost.

The Lady Gladiators put the first point on the board against Frost on Saturday. The scores were: 25 Frost-20 Italy; 25 Frost -21 Italy; 25 Italy-17 Frost; 25 Italy-14 Frost and 15 Frost-13 Italy.

On Tuesday, JV and Varsity travelled to Blum. JV Coach Jennifer Reeves commented about the game, “The JV girls lost, but played really hard. They worked together, they communicated well and played with a lot of heart. I think missed serves were the only thing that hurt us. We never gave up but just didn’t come out on top at the end. In order for us to win, we have make more serves than the other team and last night we didn’t. We will continue to work on it and keep improving. I am very proud of the way we played last night and we will fix what we did wrong and come out Saturday ready to win.”

There were five games for the Varsity with Blum finishing on top. The next games are scheduled on September 26 at home beginning at 10:00.
