Lawrence Earl Boyd, Jr., age 53, of Waxahachie, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009 at his home. He was born March 31, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Lawrence Earl Boyd, Sr. and Wanda Perryman Boyd. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Italy and the Oaks Fellowship. He had been married to Carolyn (Bryan) Boyd for 25 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Christina Weaver and her husband Jerry, Karena Boyd all of Ennis and Amber Loper and her husband of Keith of Waxahachie; mother and step-father, Wanda and Wayland Bratton of Waxahachie; 7 grandchildren, Austin, Kaitlynn, Hailey, Christopher, Payton, Alyssa and Mikyla; one brother, Galen Boyd of Katy, Texas; two sisters, Kimberly Durham of Waxahachie and Karen Thompson of Midlothian and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Earl Boyd, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, September 27, 2009 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Interment will follow at the Forreston Cemetery.
