The Italy City Council held a council meeting lasting less than five minutes Tuesday evening to pay bills ending the fiscal year 2009.

Mayor Frank Jackson thanked the council for their contributions to the city. “I think it was a great year, considering everything.”

He noted the city will host National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 6. He also reminded the council that there will be a joint employee and council picnic on Oct. 10.
