Flavia Tovar Gonzales, age 78, of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 at her home. She was born October 5, 1931 in Italy, Texas to Eugene Tovar and Paulina Ramos. Flavia was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and also the Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband, Ruvan Gonzales, Sr. of Waxahachie; one daughter, Sandra Wolfe of Palmer; one son, Ruvan Gonzales, Jr. of Waxahachie; three sisters, Delvia Tovar of Waxahachie, Susan McMillon of Italy and Victoria Smith of Ennis; two brothers, Joe Tovar and Jesse Tovar both of Italy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM with a 7 PM Rosary Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Father Jose Ortega officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lucio Jacinto, Jesse Moreno, Pete Moreno, Kenny Moreno, Frank Moreno and Joe Moreno.
