Serious Gladiator fan recognized
Friday night was an eventful night with seniors being presented, a district football game and generally, excitement all around. A special tribute was given to local #1 Gladiator fan, Bobby Itson. Besides being a big fan of the Italy Gladiators, Itson is also a veteran. He served in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard. Bobby was a Staff Sargent when he was honorably discharged. He was honored before the game as the American flag was raised by the FFA.
Itson is an avid Gladiator from way back. He has supported our teams, girls and guys. No matter the weather, Bobby Itson has brought his stadium seat and watched our kids to the end of the game. Coach Craig Bales said, “Bobby is one of the most dedicated fans I have ever been around, if you are looking for him, usually you need to look no farther than the athletic fields or the gym at Italy High School.”
Itson was unable to attend Friday night’s game due to illness and hospitalization. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We don’t want him to miss another game!
