On Saturday, November 7, 2009 Italy High School sent two students to the Region 3 Class 1A Cross Country meet in Humble, Texas. Heath Clemons and Kaitlyn Rossa earned their spots in this competition with their top ten performance at the District Cross Country Meet in Wortham.

Kaitlyn Rossa finished 9th out of 159 runners earning her a berth to the state finals in Austin. Heath “Snoop” Clemons finished strong, after arriving earlier that morning from the football game in Itasca, where he performed strongly as well, catching 2 touchdowns and earning 110 yards receiving. We are very proud of both of these Gladiators and wish Kaitlyn the best as she represents Italy Saturday at the State Cross Country Meet. Go Old Gold!
