Bobby Warren Itson — This ultimate Gladiator fan, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009.

Bobby Warren Itson, age 61, of Italy passed away Thursday evening, December 3, 2009 at his home. He was born September 18, 1948 in Avalon to Charley Warren and Billie Maxine (Smith) Itson. He was a graduate of Italy High School and attended all sports events. He was the #1 Italy Gladiator sports fan.

He served in the National Guard from 1969-1974. Bobby was a loving grandfather who enjoyed his grandkids and watching them excel in sports. He volunteered as a coach of youth football, baseball, basketball and soccer for many years. He touched the lives of many young athletes in Ellis County. Bobby was also an official for baseball, basketball and softball around the area. One of his favorite past times was country western dancing.

Survivors include one son, Aaron Itson and his wife Amanda of Italy; five grandchildren, Bubba, Tristan, Stockard, Ethan Ryder and Azlin; two sisters, Carolyn Eddlemon of Arlington and Patricia Gorczok of Ocala, FL; five nephews, two aunts and one uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Wallace, Kenneth Wallace, Randy Johnson, Michael Shelby, Keith Davis and DeJuan Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the 2009 Gladiator football team.
