Earlier in the year, the Italy Ministerial Alliance voted unanimously that the local food pantry be called the William Youngblood Food Pantry. The plaque was ordered and delivered. Officially, the sign hangs above the pantry door for all to see.

Who was Bill Youngblood? A quiet, honest, hard working family man that would do anything for anybody. He built, toted, lugged, moved and worked very hard for his church, family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father of two, uncle and friend. Bill Youngblood could always be seen working with the community in whatever capacity was needed. An untimely death took him too early. However, his memory lives on with the Italy Ministerial Alliance.

With all the churches in town coming together to support this endeavor, the local food pantry meets the first Monday of every month from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 124 Harpold (the Methodist church). Here, Italians can receive food assistance, prayer or a just an encouraging word and a pat on the back. This is exactly what Bill would have wanted.
