Maulene Cummings Frazier, 1933 – 2010

Maulene Cummings Frazier was born on March 6, 1933 in Fayette County, Texas to Mose Cummings and Frances Leonard Cummings. She received her formal education at Stafford School in Italy and graduated from Oaklawn High School in Waxahachie.

Maulene married Earnest Frazier and was the mother of one Daugher, Rita Yvette. She worked for Stokenberry cleaners in South Dallas for many years.

Maulene was a member of Mt Gilead Baptist Church were she was a faithful and active member. She was Mt. Gilead’s announcing clerk for decades.

She preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and four brothers. Her memories will be remembered and cherished by her daughter Rita Warren (James) of Dallas; 5 grandchildren-Aeyesha Cummings, Monica Cummings, Donta Cummings (Katrina), Maya Chappell, and Sandra Chappell; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sisters, Algie Allen (Samuel) of Columbus, Ohio, Vera Thompson (Jessie) of Waxahachie, and Gwendolyn Wilson of Dallas; a host of special nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved dearly and her beloved great-granddaughter, Charisma Anderson.

Viewing Monday February 22, 2010 from 2:00pm to 6:30pm followed by a wake service from 7pm to 8pm in the Edgar Thomas Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Service Tuesday February 23. 2010 at1:00pm, Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 328 Harris Street, Italy.
