Roger Dale Hall, 1951 – 2010

Roger Dale Hall, age 58, of Italy, went to be with our Heavenly Father February 25, 2010. He was born Sept. 1, 1951 in Goodwater, Alabama to Jim W. and Alma Lee (Creel) Hall. He proudly served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam and in the U. S. Navy on the USS John F. Kennedy, receiving honorable discharges from both branches of service.

On April 23, 1982 he married the love of his life and soul mate, Jeri String. They shared a unique passion for each other that made them inseparable.

Roger was a master tradesman and business partner with his brother, Fred Hall, of Hall’s Professionals and owner of Roger’s Residential Repairs. His proudest accomplishment and labor of love was the home he and his wife built together in Italy.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Lee Annis and Jim Hall and brother, Jimmy Hall.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 28 years, Jeri Hall; his children. Rogena, Jennifer, Robert and John; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; brothers, Fred Hall and Bob Hall; sister, Linda Webb; sister-in-law, Cheryl Hall and their families and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 PM Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Graveside service with military honors will be 2PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Walter Buchanan officiating.

The Hall family greatly appreciated the efforts and loving care from all of the staff at the Dallas Veterans Hospital and also the staff at Heartland Hospice who went above and beyond the call of duty.
