Wednesday was the grand opening of Italy’s new Chinese restaurant, Keng Wok Chinese. It opened at 10:30 am and it was hopping. So many customers it was over whelming. The parking lot was filled with cars and the restaurant had a line out the door and all the tables were full.

Lim Mei, the restaurant manager said, “We are very busy. Lots and lots of customers. We are very happy.” The line was so long that Lim Mei told everyone that wanted to eat buffet to go ahead and get their food and they could pay after they ate. She said, “I know you are hungry, just come to the buffet and eat!” Even though she was rushing around and trying to get to all the customers she never lost her smile.

Renee Finley (customer) said, “This Chinese food was better than the similar food we had on our last cruise.” According to everyone I talked to everyone agreed with Renee-the food is very, very good.

One of the couples eating at Keng Wok Chinese Restaurant was so impressed with their lunch they said, “This is so good. We aren’t traveling to Corsicana or Waxahachie anymore. We are coming here!”

They have lots of dishes to choose from, so many that I will just list the dinner specials.

  • Shrimp with Mushroom
  • Lo Mein (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, vegetable).

I can vouch for the Sesame Chicken, it is delicious!
