The deadline for inclusion on the Italy City Council election ballot has passed as of yesterday, March 8 at 5:00pm. With three places up for election there were two incumbents that completed their application leaving one seat vacant. Those wishing to have their name as a write-in candidate for the Italy City Council can sign up at Italy City Hall through March 15, 5:00pm.

In the event that there are no write-in candidates the city council members will duly qualify and appoint a third person to the five member council for a one year term. That position will be on the ballot next May for the remaining unexpired term.
