6 Gladiators receive All-District, Holley named Coach of the Year
All-District Gladiators selected — Italy’s Jasenio Anderson(11), Desmond Anderson(15), Heath Clemons(2), John Isaac(10), Colton Campbell(5) and Larry Mayberry(13) were named to the 2009-2010 District 15A “All-District Team” after the Gladiator Basketball Team finished 10-0 in district play.
After finishing in 1st Place with a 10-0 record in district play (28-5 overall) and ultimately finishing as regional finalists for the second year in a row, six members of the Italy Gladiator Basketball Team received all-district honors. In addition, Italy Gladiator Basketball head coach Kyle Holley was named “Coach of the Year” in district 15A.
Competing against some of the top basketball players in the state, making this all-district list is a testament to the abilities and skills displayed by Italy’s players this season. Congratulations to Coach Holley and his staff, Italy’s all-district honorees and the entire Italy Gladiator Basketball Team for another amazing season filled with a lifetime of memories.
