According to the display cases in the front hallway, it has been 20 years since Milford’s one act play advanced to district competition.

“This is a huge accomplishment for us,” stated co-director Cheryl Sessums. “Our kids did an outstanding job in zone which advanced us to the next level of competition.”

On April 1, Milford preformed “Foiled by an Innocent Maid” at district competition against five other schools. Although Milford did not advance to area competition, the cast and crew were pleased with their performance.

“We worked really hard and I think we were fantastic,” stated Raborn Sprabary. Raborn won an honorable mention medal at district competition and an all-star cast award at zone.

Three other members of the cast and crew were awarded medals for their performance. Tapley Strange took best actress in both zone and district competition. This is her second year to win this award.

Rachel Strange was given an honorable mention at district and all-star cast at zone competitions.

Genia Armstrong was awarded Outstanding crew at district. Ra’Tara Singleton won this award at zone competition.

Senior Genora Armstrong was awarded an honorable mention at zone competition.
