Starship Pegasus brought back to life
Andy Gee (owner of Starship Pegasus) has not given up on his dream of utilizing his Starship Pegasus dome. He is now opening it up under the name S.P.A.C.E. (Starship Pegasus Associates Community Enterprises) a flea-market/farmers market.
Andy and his wife Jan, had originally run a restaurant at the Starship Pegasus and had to give up their dream for a little while. Now they are back and raring to go.
“I am the one that created the Starship Pegasus project and am bringing it back to fruition with Andrew and several other people’s help. We are going to be starting up weekends beginning Friday, May 14th. We are looking for many different kinds of vendors and flea market booths. We are also looking for musicians. We are creating a destination experience”, explained Gee.
The flea-market/farmers market and vendor booths will open at 10:00 am and close at dark. They will also be taking items on consignment that would be displayed inside the Starship.
Andy has hired Andrew Voyer to manage this new venture. Andrew hales from Maine and now lives in Cedar Hill, Texas. He has a Bachelors degree in accounting information systems with a minor in finance economics.
Andrew said, “I want people to see what we have, learn what they can from it and have a good time while shopping for arts and crafts, flea market items and fresh fruit and vegetables from the farmers market.” Andrew added, “If you build it, they will come”.
To go along with their flea market/farmers market they are looking for craft vendors, artists and musicians. At the moment they have a kite booth, Scentsy candles, a catering booth, BBQ booth, Italian Ice booth and a booth with fresh vegetables and fruit.
If you are interested in having a booth or putting items for sale on consignment call Andrew Voyer at 817/449-9935 for details.
