There will be a regular meeting of the Italy City Council today, June 14, 2010 at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of the Italy Municipal Building, 105 Main Street. The meeting is open to the public.

Regular Session Agenda items:

• Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding electing a Mayor Pro Tem.
• Mr. Leon Curtis, P.E. CFM, Program Specialist with Texas Water Development Board to address the council. Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency.
• Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding Resolution No. R-10-0614-01 a Resolution of the City Council to qualify for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program and to require the recognition and evaluation of flood hazards for all proposed developments within the identified floodplains of the City of Italy.
• Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding approval of the Ordinance No. 10-0614-01 an Ordinance to promote the public health, safety and general welfare and to minimize public and private losses due to flood conditions.
• Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding sharing the cost of necessary roof repairs with Mrs. McConnell on the Community Center.
• Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding the re-appointment of Mark Stiles, Mark Souder Sr. and Randy Boyd to the Economic Development Corporation Board.
