George Roland Green III, a long time resident of Italy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Roland was born August 16, 1955 in Cleburne, Texas to the late George R. Green, Jr. and Oneta (Gardner) Green. He graduated from Italy High School in 1974, was a longtime employee at Tyler Refrigeration in Waxahachie and was employed by Dart Container Corp in Waxahachie, at the time of his death. He married Susan Buie on December 8, 1978 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Susan Buie Green and his daughter, Alison Elaine Green both of Italy; two sisters, Joanna Green Ridlehuber and husband Jerry of Italy and Rhonda Green Windham and husband Bob of San Antonio; aunts, Orrline Martin and Evelyn Jenkins both of Italy, June Johnston of Euless, Texas, Shirley Jennings of Houston, and Gaynell Seale of Itasca; two uncles, Bobby Gardner and wife Sue of Itasca, and Tommy Gardner of Ft. Worth; father-in-law, Richard Dwayne Magures of Kemp, Texas; sisters-in-law, Patsy Buie Richter and husband Rick of Jack, Al and Paula Buie Wilson of Waxahachie; brothers-in-law, Thomas M. Buie of Waxahachie, Charles W. Buie of Reagor Springs and David H. Buie and wife Jill of Waxahachie; he will be remembered as “Uncle Pete” by seven nieces, Michelle Ridlehuber Hampton, Rochelle Ridlehuber Hellner, Heather Windham Arrington, Jennifer Buie Hinton, Emily, Jessica and Callianne Buie and seven nephews, James Ridlehuber, Clint Huskins, Lenny Thompson, Justin Buie Gaither and Drew, Chase and Kyle Wilson; he had nine grandnieces and grandnephews and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank his friends at Dart Container Corporation for their help and support and the Odyssey Hospice personnel.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Brother Grady Cashion officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Ridlehuber, Jay Hellner, Regan Hampton, Drew Wilson, Chase Wilson and Kyle Wilson.
