IYAA hosts high school eligible baseball on Friday and Saturday

On Friday and Saturday at the Upchurch Ball Fields in Italy, the IYAA will be hosting High School Eligible (HSE) Boys Pool Play baseball games in a partnership effort with the Hillsboro Sports Association who is hosting the Texas Teen-Age Baseball/Softball Association’s Boys State Tournament.

Pool Play games will begin Friday, July 23 and conclude on Sunday, July 25. The Hillsboro TTAB State Tournament bracket games will begin Monday, July 26 and continue thru Saturday, July 31

The IYAA will host it’s first game of the Pool Play bracket Friday, July 24 at 10:00 p.m. between Wortham and Goldthwaite. The second game will begin at 12:00 p.m. between Teague and Wortham. The third game will begin at 2:00 p.m. between Goldthwaite and Clyde. The final Friday game, in Italy, will start at 6:30 p.m. between Clyde and Teague.

On Saturday, the IYAA will host an 8:00 a.m. Pool Play game between Wortham and Clyde and then a 10:00 a.m. Pool Play game between Teague and Goldthwaite.

Everyone is invited to check out some of the top High School ball players in the state. The concession stand will be operating in preparation for an exciting two days of Texas baseball.

  • Clyde — will play in Italy
  • Eustace
  • Bangs Dragons
  • DeKalb Bears
