The award-winning Italy Gladiator Regiment Band and Flag Corp, under the guidance of band director Jesus Perez, flag corp director Tina Richards, band major Jessica Hernandez and assistant drum major Drenda Burk, got in one last practice on Thursday before performing live in front of their proud parents and supporters on the practice field adjacent to Willis Field.

The GRB was quite literally under the guidance of Perez who orchestrated the marching routine from atop the visitor’s bleachers. After a few adjustments, the GRB confidently belted out a number called “Green Onions” that the band will be performing during their 2010 halftime shows.

After receiving a well deserved applause, guests and band members made their way to the Italy High School Band Hall for the congratulatory “Band Social” where ice cream was served in appreciation of band members efforts over the summer.

A Band Booster meeting followed the party as parents get prepared for what is expected to be another amazing year for the Gladiator Regiment Band and Flag Corp and Italy High School.
