Because our Ellis County Clean-Up event last May was so cost-effective, we will be able to fund one more free dump day for our citizens before the end of the year.

For one day only – Saturday, September 18, 2010 – Ellis County will pay for residents to dispose of up to seven cubic yards of trash, furniture, mattresses, yard debris, and other similar items – as well as passenger tires, metal and e-waste items.

This event will run simultaneously at two landfill sites: EDC Landfill on I-45 between Palmer and Ennis – and – CSC Landfill on Republic Way in Avalon. Hours on that Saturday will be: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

To participate, you will need to obtain a voucher prior to the event. Check the county website at www.co.ellis.tx.us for detailed information about the event, distribution locations, etc. – or call the Ellis County Fire Marshal’s office at 972-825-5555.

Please Note: We have a “limited number” of vouchers to disburse: first come…first serve. Vouchers will be available starting August 18th!
