Lady Gladiators (8th grade) earn championship trophy at Rice Tourney

Winning their first set against Rice, two games to one, then in their second set beating Malakoff in two straight games, Italy’s 8th grade volleyball team came home with a championship trophy from the Rice Junior High Volleyball Tournament this weekend.
Coach Tina Richards said, “I was extremely proud of their performance this weekend. This is a very talented group of young ladies. When I ask them to fix something they do it, and they play with a lot of heart!”
