Elaine “Lanie” Norcross, age 68, of Ennis, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. She was born May 28, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Samuel P. and Iva Lee (Wright) Norcross. Lanie was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to read and spend time with her grandsons, travel with her sister and was always caring for others. Lanie was a devoted Christian who is now sleeping in the arms of Jesus.

Survivors include her twin daughters, Jennifer Drake and husband Charles of Waxahachie and Judith Goodwin and husband Lee of Italy; son, Leslie Lawson of Dallas; two grandsons, Luke Drake and Dylan Drake; three brothers, Harold Norcross of Forreston, Larry Norcross and wife Martha of Italy and Wayne Norcross and wife Marlene of Waxahachie; sister, Sally Williams of Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Iva Lee Norcross and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Graveside services will be 10AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Forreston Cemetery.
