Voting: Your Right, Your Privilege
The General Election for the whole nation is November 2, 2010. Are you registered and ready to make an informed decision? The deadline for registration is looming down fast upon us. October 4 is the last day and your application must either be postmarked the 4th or in the registrar’s office by that date. Of course, you can register anytime before that.
“Remember, your voter registration becomes effective 30 days after it is submitted by the county voter registrar. If you have moved within the same county, you have to file a new address with the registrar. If you moved to a new county, you re-register in the new county of residence.” This information is provided by this website.
“New certificates are mailed out every two years to the most recent address you gave to the voter registrar.” This year’s certificate is blue and white.
You may still vote if you have lost your card. You will need to provide some form of identification and sign an affidavit at the polls.
