The Italy chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is sponsoring an event on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at the Italy HS football field. Students from Italy HS will be joining thousands of other youth on athletic fields all across America to share their Christian faith with fellow students during the 7th Annual National Fields of Faith event. This rapidly growing, interdenominational outreach, event will be held at more than 400 locations throughout the nation on this same date.

Fields of Faith is structured as a student ministry. Peers invite their own classmates and teammates to meet on their school’s athletic field to hear fellow students share their testimonies, challenge them to read the bible, and to come to faith in Jesus Christ.

The national growth of Fields of Faith has been remarkable. Since the beginning of Fields of Faith in 2004, more than 365,000 students have joined the movement. In 2009 alone, more than 125,000 students gathered on 446 fields across 38 states to participate in the event. That night, the event saw 3,248 students make first-time faith commitments while 4,288 recommitted their lives to Christ.

This year Italy High School would like to invite all surrounding communities to join us in making this a powerful night for youth in our area. We encourage you to bring your students to participate or help in any way you feel lead. In order to make our event successful we need many volunteers. If you would like more information or feel God is calling you to help out, please contact Heather Richters, Italy HS FCA Sponsor, by email or phone, [email protected] or 972-483-7411.
