The Little Tykes Learning Center in Blooming Grove offers affordable daycare and is equipped with three classrooms, a toddler room, a kitchen and eating area, two separate playgrounds and lots of smiles.

Director Laura Horner is a licensed professional and staffs teachers licensed in CPR. Laura has been in the child caring field since 2004 and recently opened the Little Tykes Learning Center in Blooming Grove where she has resided for the past five years.

“The local school bus picks the kids up in the morning and drops them off after school. Little Tykes makes separate trips to pickup our Pre-K kids in the morning and afternoon as well. On Thursday’s, the morning class takes a field trip to the city park across from our building where they can climb, swing and just enjoy being outside,” mentioned Laura while the little ones were busy with their lessons and coloring a picture of a fireman.

Recently, the Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Department stopped by with a fire engine for the kids to climb upon and learn about being a fireman while wearing their very own plastic fire helmets.

While the kids are busy trying to stay inside the lines, the Little Tykes Learning Center staff is busy thinking outside the toy box. “We are constantly planning exciting new adventures for the kids. Little Tykes will be arranging a visit from the Navarro County Sheriff’s Department in the near future. This is a great time to enroll and we invite parents to take a tour of our facility,” added Laura.
